Test Of NBS and S3H

Different universities have different criteria to recruit students before admission. In case of universities like NUST, they have a programmed channel of entry tests for admissions. NUST conducts a test series every year consisting of three NET’s. Different kinds of tests are held for different programmes. For business studies and social sciences and humanities, a single type of test is performed which consists of three parts i.e; mathematics 40%, English (vocabulary) 40% and intelligence 20% that are to be solved in 120 minutes. In NBS, the programmes offered are Business Studies and Accounting and Finance while in S3H i.e; School of Social Sciences and Humanities, the courses offered are Mass Communication, Public Administration and Economics. To get enrolled in any of these programmes you need an aggregate of minimum 65%. You can get admission easily if you have aggregate of 70% and above.

For all those worried about the test, I must say it’s a game of mind where you need to manage the time well to concentrate equally on all portions of the test. As the test is totally computer based, one must listen to the instructions given before the beginning of test so that there is no issue during the test. There is no negative marking and quite a number of questions are usually technical and need to be solved with common sense. But, you must prepare the mathematics and vocabulary portions with concentration while the intelligence portion needs time and practice.
