HOW TO APPLY ? IMPORTANT QUESTIONS !

In order to get Hostel at NUST one has to apply with in time , but what does this with in time means  ? How long one have to wait ? And is there possibility of getting hostel if one gets in waiting list ? In this article all these questions will be answered .

WITH IN TIME

With In time means one should apply for hostel as soon as he/she get selected at NUST . NUST allot hostels on first come first serve basis . No priority is given to any student on the basis of Caste , Color ,Creed or City . One has to apply as early as possible to get himself registered . As far as my story is concerned , I got selected in first merit list for Civil Engineering at NUST H-12 Islamabad , as soon as my selection is confirmed , I immediately applied for hostel , not so long but the same night after displaying of merit list. As I applied they asked for my documents to be submitted , therefore , without wasting a moment I couriered my documents to them and called them for further confirmation . This results in the allotment of first room ( ROOM 401 ) to me . So this is a short key to success for you people to get NUST hostel

HOW LONG ONE HAVE TO WAIT

How long one have to wait depends on the sense of question . If it is regarding the securing of admission , then it is not so long to wait for their confirmation email . But in terms of waiting number , it is very long and it may be more than a year to wait .

Answering the first sense of question , as soon as you send your documents and your admission at Hostel is confirmed , then NUST will mail you a week earlier before the commencement of classes . That mail will contain all necessary material to guide you regarding things that you will be needing during your residence at NUST Hostel .

The second sense means you have to wait for long . You will be in waiting list and you will be considered for admission If one drops himself/herself from Hostels.

ANY POSSIBILITYOF GETTING HOSTEL  IF ONE GETS IN WAITING LIST

Yes , there is possibility of getting Hostels if one gets in waiting list but it depends on your waiting number . If one’s waiting number is with in 20’s then he/she has a bright chance , but to my memory , my friends are on waiting list though and still after two years they are in it . So the best solution to this is to apply with in time and get yourself registered as soon as possible , as it is on first come first serve basis .
